Tag-along touring — drive your own vehicle

Master the outback
with confidence.

Our tag-along 4WD tours combine adventure with education. Drive your own vehicle on iconic Australian tracks while receiving professional instruction and the security of full support.

What a tag-along is

You drive your own four-wheel drive. I lead the convoy, teach as we go, and carry the recovery gear, communications and first aid response for the whole group. You get the pride of driving every metre yourself — and the security of a professional watching your line, your tyre pressures and the weather ahead.

Instruction, not just guiding

Every trip is a rolling course: terrain reading, wheel placement, recovery technique, vehicle preservation. Taught by a nationally accredited 4WD trainer, not just an enthusiast.

Full support

Lead vehicle with recovery equipment, UHF and satellite communications, first aid, and a planned route with fallback options. Pre-trip vehicle checks and briefing included.

Your vehicle, made capable

Trips are graded honestly. If your vehicle or experience isn't ready for a track, I'll tell you before you book, not halfway up it.

Credentials behind the wheel

First tours are being planned now. Register your interest and you'll get first pick of dates and destinations — south-east Queensland weekenders first, longer iconic-track trips to follow.

Sample itineraries

Numbered days, not fixed dates — every trip is planned with its group. Paid delivery starts with the skills weekend; the tag-along tours open as the group, the season and the permits line up. Start close to home, finish at the Tip.
