See what your batteries are doing

Monitoring hardware for 4WD touring and off-grid power — designed by people who run these systems in the field.

Two devices, one problem

Second-life lithium batteries are everywhere in camping-power, 4WD and off-grid builds — and most of them run blind. The data is there inside the battery; the manufacturers just never gave you a way to read it. These two devices open that up.

Device 1 · CAN-bus

Battery monitor for Samsung SDI modules

Repurposed Samsung SDI rack modules are a favourite for DIY off-grid and 4WD power, but their state-of-charge and cell data sit behind an undocumented CAN-bus protocol. This monitor reads it — so you know what's actually left, cell by cell, instead of guessing.

For: off-grid, camping-power and 4WD-touring builders using second-life SDI modules.

Device 2 · RS485

Data exporter for Alvota / Kickass batteries

Popular Alvota and Kickass lithium batteries expose rich data over RS485 that their stock displays barely use. The exporter unlocks it for logging and integration — battery health and history in your monitoring system, not just a percentage on a screen.

For: 4WD tourers and off-grid users who want visibility, not vibes.

Where things are at

Both devices are in late prototyping, with production circuit boards in final testing. We don't take money for things that aren't ready — register your interest and you'll be first to hear when units are available, with pricing. Early registrants also get a say in what the first batch prioritises.

Built for the field

Designed around the systems we actually run on tours and at remote sites — dust, vibration and 40-degree days included.

Sold direct

Straight from Diverse Routes, with GST invoicing and Australian support — no reseller layer between you and the people who built it.

Same people, same customers

Products grew out of our 4WD touring and off-grid growing work. If you've done a skills weekend or a workshop with us, this is for the setup in your vehicle.
