Workplace safety training for industry. 4WD instruction on real tracks. Growing food, building shelter, forging steel. Different skills, one standard: you do the real thing yourself, under professional instruction, with the risk managed by a specialist.
Contract training and assessment for RTOs — the standard you expect, the flexibility you need. On-site safety programs for employers.
Courses & availability →Start with the 2-day Bribie Island skills weekend — the first tours product to open for bookings — then tag-along tours: drive your own vehicle on iconic Australian tracks with professional instruction and full support.
How tag-alongs work →Working with nature, not against it. Practical workshops in soil health, water in the landscape, and resilient food growing for the subtropics.
Workshop details →Build shelter from the earth, not at its expense. Hands-on natural building workshops: earthen walls, natural finishes, and owner-builder fundamentals.
Workshop details →A free seed-saving database for the Brisbane region — find a variety, learn when to plant it, and track your own saved seed lines toward resilient local genetics.
About the library →A CAN-bus monitor for repurposed Samsung SDI modules and an RS485 data exporter for Alvota/Kickass batteries — see what your power system is actually doing. Built for 4WD touring and off-grid setups.
The devices →Shape metal, forge skills. Hooks, hand tools and artistic pieces forged one at a time in traditional techniques — sold at our workshops and by commission. Small-group courses open once a forge venue is secured.
See the work →We deliver what we promise, with transparent pricing, realistic expectations and ethical practice at the core of everything we do.
Working with natural systems and traditional skills to create resilient, regenerative outcomes.
Building community through shared skills — empowering people to do more for themselves.
Why Diverse Routes
Every Diverse Routes experience is run by Straun Cameron — a qualified trainer and assessor (Certificate IV TAE) with more than twenty years teaching high-consequence skills: working at heights, confined space entry, breathing apparatus, emergency response and rescue, and nationally accredited 4WD operation.
Where an offering is still new — blacksmithing, natural building — we say so plainly, and we teach alongside proven practitioners rather than claim expertise we can't document.
Whether you need a contract trainer next week or want a seat at a weekend workshop, it starts with an email.
